ELYRIA, Ohio — EMH Regional Health System will expand its main Avon campus by nearly 40 percent and by next year start construction on a new facility in North Ridgeville, the health system announced recently.
The 36,000-square-foot addition to EMH’s main campus in Avon will house physician offices and imaging centers, and will be adjacent to the current 91,000-square-foot facility. Work is set to begin in October.
Its construction in North Ridgeville will begin in fall 2010. Located near the Ohio Turnpike entrance on Lorain Road in North Ridgeville, the project will include an emergency department, physician offices, laboratory and an imaging center.

EMH had said earlier that is may build a wellness center in North Ridgeville. The hospital stated in its release that further development would “continue to be evaluated.”
