[Read more of this report]Vince Tuohy was surprised — and grateful — when the National Institutes of Health agreed to back development of his breast cancer vaccine after his first request. Tuohy’s lab at the Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner Research Institute is getting $1.3 million from the National Institutes of Health to continue to develop the vaccine.
