Thirty-two year hospital veteran Kevin Miller is scheduled to begin a three-year term with the Ohio Hospital Association’s board of trustees in January.

Michael Fisher will take over for longtime leader Jim Anderson who is leaving at year’s end. Fisher spent five years on the hospital board and also for a time lead the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Akebia called Dzao a pioneer in gene therapy for vascular disease. His research on the renin-angiotensin system (RAS), which regulates blood pressure, is credited with helping understand the role of the system in cardiovascular disease and develop RAS-based drugs.
