As in 2008, healthcare remains a leading domestic issue for government to address and will be key for the 2012 presidential candidates in their run for the White House.

Designed specifically for health insurance executives, this one-day forum, The 2012 Political Climate Breakdown: An Executive Medicare Forum, will provide comparisons and analysis of the Democrat and Republican candidates’ positions on healthcare and what it means specifically for the future of Medicare.

Analysis will be based on information appearing on the candidates’ websites as supplemented by information from candidate speeches, the campaign debates and news reports. The forum will contain as current information as possible on the candidates’ positions related to access to healthcare coverage, cost containment, improving the quality of care and financing, including Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP, prescription drugs, racial and ethnic disparities, women’s health, and HIV/AIDS and global health.

The 2012 Political Climate Breakdown: An Executive Medicare Forum will be held May 31 at Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C.
