Health IT firm MIM Software has obtained Canadian regulatory approval to begin marketing version 3.0 of its Mobile MIM radiology app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The app is now cleared in Canada for diagnostic X-ray and ultrasound viewing, as well as radiation oncology treatment plan review and approval, according to a statement from Cleveland-area MIM Software.

Mobile MIM version 3.0, which is available for free download from Apple’s App Store, received clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last month.

About a year ago, an earlier version of Mobile MIM became the first-ever radiology mobile app to receive the FDA’s seal of approval.

Below, MIM Software chief technology officer Mark Cain provides a tour of Mobile MIM 3.0.
