BioMatRx Inc. is the Minnesota Cup’s bioscience champion, MedCity News has learned. The company, based in Edina, Minnesota, is developing ways to use stem cell therapies to restore damaged and diseased teeth.

The company, based in Edina, Minnesota, bested MRI Robotics and Nirva Medical to win its division. BioMatRx will face the winners of the clean tech/renewable energy, social entrepreneur, general and high-tech divisions for the Grand Prize title, which carries a $20,000 check and free legal consultation.

Minnesota Cup organizers will announce the division winners Wednesday morning.

Founded in April by Dr. Todd Geisler and his brothers, Jamison and Graham, BioMatRx is developing ways to use stem cell therapies to restore damaged and diseased teeth.

For winning its division, BioMatRx will receive $20,000 in seed money.
