‘What is the Cleveland Clinic?’ Jeopardy! contestants to answer

Cleveland Clinic's first building opened in 1921.

“What is the Cleveland Clinic?”

That likely won’t be one of the questions posed by contestants on television quiz show Jeopardy! on Friday evening.

But how about: “What is the nation’s top heart hospital? or “Who is George Crile?”

Nah. Those questions probably are too obvious for a category called “Cleveland Clinic,” which is scheduled to air during the July 30 episode of the show.

A Jeopardy! crew visited the Clinic in November to record clues for upcoming shows, according to the Associated Press. The quiz show producers must have liked what they saw because they decided to dedicate an entire category to the Clinic.

While the clues for Friday’s show are secret, they will focus on innovation, Clinic history and medical technology, a Clinic spokesman confirmed.

Hmmm. How about: “What is the first coronary bypass surgery?”
