Akron Children’s promotes new chief nursing officer

Akron Children’s Hospital has appointed a former nursing director to chief nursing officer.

Lisa Aurilio, who’s worked at Akron Children’s since 2004, will take over the chief nursing officer role from Grace Wakulchik, who last month was promoted to chief operating officer.

Aurilio’s appointment is effective as of June 7.

Akron Children’s operates a 253-bed pediatric hospital in downtown Akron and a 32-bed inpatient unit in Boardman, Ohio. The hospital recently opened a general pediatrics practice in Brecksville, its 16th in Northeast Ohio.
