Cleveland Clinic’s Integrative Medicine Center adds pros, services

The Center for Integrative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Institute has hired staff members and added services to handle the growing demand for an holistic approach to caring for the physical, lifestyle, emotional and spiritual needs of patients.

Dr. Brenda Powell, a family medicine and women’s health expert, has been appointed to the center’s medical staff at the center, which is housed at the Wellness Institute’s Lyndhurst campus. Powell joins Dr. Tanya Edwards, medical director for the center, and Dr. Thomas Morldege. She begins seeing patients on June 1.

The center has begun offering holistic psychotherapy services. Zivia Bairey will offer therapies that include hypnosis, traditional talk therapy, art therapy and breathe therapy. Bairey also will see patients at the Lyndhurst campus.

Howard: Here is the URL for the staff directory at the Center for Integrative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute: http://my.clevelandclinic.org/departments/integrativemedicine/staff.aspx. It lists six acupuncturists. Best, Mary Vanac
