POWELL, Ohio – Care-management software firm Click4Care won an award for “greatest market potential” at an health information technology summit held in California last week.

Industry executives attending the Healthcare IT Summit voted for the Columbus-area company as the greatest market potential winner in the insurance category, according to a statement from Click4Care.

“We were excited by the overwhelmingly positive reactions we received from the industry experts at the Healthcare IT Summit,” said Rob Gillette, Click4Care’s chief executive.

The company has developed technology enabling information gathered by insurers, physicians, hospitals and patients to be combined and shared. With the data in place, the company’s software, ThinkHealth, makes recommendations on treatment, predicts the possibilities of in-patient stays and automates everything from caring for patients to issues around payment.

Click4Care posted revenue of $11.4 million in 2008 and recently took on $2 million in new funding.
