Battelle, Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, other organizations to highlight virtual job fair TODAY

BioOhio logoCOLUMBUS, Ohio — BioOhio will do a virtual career fair for job seekers in the health care industry from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. today.

“As far as a couple 10-minute Google searches can tell us, this might be the first attempt to host employers discussing job openings in a Webinar format,” Matt Schutte, BioOhio corporate communications director, said in an e-mail. “Bottom line: Ohio’s bioscience industry is still adding jobs.”

Organizations expected to attend the virtual career fair: Battelle and Abbott Nutrition in Columbus; the Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Fertility Solutions in Cleveland; Eurand in the Dayton area; Meridian Bioscience and Advanced Testing Laboratory in Cincinnati; the Rogosin Institute in Xenia; ProPharma Group in both Cincinnati and Cleveland.

A human resources representative from each organization will be given 10 minutes to discuss openings, qualifications and how to apply. Register to attend the virtual job fair here.

The virtual job fair is ”a mid-term, digital follow-up to our very successful career fairs this past spring in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati,” Schutte said. As of Monday afternoon, more than 190 job seekers already had signed up for the free virtual fair, he said.
